Wildlife Facts

We recently (2005) digitized fact sheets produced in the 1970’s when Fish and Wildlife was part of the Department of Conservation and Cultural Affairs (DCCA). Since then much of the information has changed. These fact sheets do have historical significance and have been placed on this website to provide the reader with an idea of the environmental history of the US Virgin Islands.

Our current fact sheets include information about local animals and environments found in the U.S. Virgin Islands. These have been produced by federal funds from Wildlife Restoration, Aquatic Education, and Hunter Education programs.
