Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol advises the community that as the department approaches the peak of the registration season, the Division of Environmental Enforcement is currently experiencing a temporary staffing shortage. As a result, the processing of vessel registrations is primarily being managed by the St. Croix office.
“We kindly ask for the community’s patience, understanding, and cooperation during this time,” requested Commissioner Oriol. To help streamline operations and reduce delays, the Division strongly encourages individuals to make payments online at my.onlinemooring.com
whenever possible. For those who require assistance, payments can also be made over the phone by contacting the St. Croix office at (340) 773-5774 or through the online mooring system.
Due to the high volume of calls, many of which involve addressing complaints and de-escalating situations, our staff is facing challenges in maintaining focus on essential registration tasks.
“Your support in sharing this message with the wider community would be greatly appreciated. The Department remains committed to serving you and thanks you for your continued understanding,” concluded Commissioner Oriol.
