The Division of Environmental Protection envisions a future for United States Virgin Islands’ residents, and visitors, wherein the quality of life is enhanced by the quality of their environment. We will assess sustain, preserve, and enhance environmental qualities in partnership with communities and businesses, and in concert with the economic vitality of the Territory.
The Division of Environmental Protections is a regulatory body within the Department of Planning and Natural Resources. In collaboration with various other DPNR divisions, the Division of Environmental Protection is entrusted with the responsibility for environmental protections and with the enforcement of USVI environmental laws and regulations and certain national environmental laws, as delegated by the United States Environmental Protection.
