FLORENCE WILLIAMS PUBLIC LIBRARY TO REOPEN ON SATURDAY

Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) is pleased to announce that the Florence Williams Public Library in Christiansted, St. Croix, will reopen to the public on Saturday, July 25, 2026, following a temporary closure due to unforeseen circumstances.

The library has resumed normal operations and will be open on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

DPNR and the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums appreciate the patience and understanding shown by the community during the closure while necessary issues affecting library operations were addressed.

“We are pleased to welcome patrons back to the Florence Williams Public Library,” Commissioner Oriol said. “Libraries play a vital role in our communities by providing access to information, educational resources, and lifelong learning opportunities. We thank the public for their patience and look forward to once again serving residents, students, and visitors.”
