Coral World Ocean & Reef Initiative

Coral World Ocean and Reef Initiative (CWORI) is working to restore the vibrant coral reefs of the USVI! Under the CRRC grant, CWORI will outplant 15,000 nursery-raised corals and release 2,000 long-spined sea urchins to help revive Coki Beach Reef. Additionally, CWORI is training and hiring local Virgin Islanders to create exciting career opportunities in marine conservation and science. These combined efforts are helping to build a more resilient future for the U.S. Virgin Islands.
