Carnival 2025 Hydration Station Pop-Ups Featuring Water Generation Technology

Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources is pleased to announce that the Division of Coastal Zone Management (DPNR-CZM), in collaboration with the Virgin Islands Conservation Society, will host several Hydration Station Pop-Ups. The pop-ups will showcase the Atmospheric Water Generator (AWG) that extracts moisture from the air to produce clean, drinking water—demonstrating a sustainable future for hydration. The Department aims to raise awareness about water conservation and promote plastic waste reduction practices. Attendees will have the chance to sample fresh water, learn about AWG technology, and discover its potential to address water scarcity in the Territory. “We’re excited to launch these Hydration Station Pop-Ups to highlight innovative solutions for global water challenges.” said Commissioner Oriol. “By harnessing moisture from the air, AWG technology offers an eco-friendly solution to hydrate communities and spark important conversations on the future of water access.”

Hydration Station Pop-Ups will be at the following events on these dates:
• Saturday, April 19th – 10th Annual Spring Fling at Yacht Haven Grande
• Sunday, April 20th – Toddler’s Derby, Best Dressed Doll, & Water Sunday Funday at the Carnival Village
• Saturday, April 26th – Carnival Shake Out at Emile Griffith Ball Park
• Wednesday, April 30th – Party Tun Ova at Yacht Haven Grande Attendees are encouraged to bring refillable water bottles.
