DLAM HOSTS “LUNCHTIME WITH THE ARTIST” FEATURING ADRIAN EDWARDS AT FORT FREDERIK MUSEUM

Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) invites the public to join the Division of Libraries, Archives and Museums (DLAM) for the next installment of its popular artist talk series, Lunchtime with the Artist. The upcoming session will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Fort Frederik Museum.

This week’s featured guest is Adrian Edwards, a self-taught digital artist, graphic designer, and painter whose multi-media creations are rooted in personal, spiritual, and intellectual exploration. Edwards is one of the contributing artists to DLAM’s annual Emancipation art exhibition, Tides of Freedom: Histories of Resistance from the USVI to the USA.

The Lunchtime with the Artist series offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with artists whose work reflects the ongoing narrative of freedom and resistance in the Virgin Islands and beyond. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and enjoy an hour of insightful conversation and artistic inspiration.

The series continues every Thursday from 1–2 PM through mid-November, while the exhibition remains on display.

Admission is $5, with free entry for students under 18, who are especially encouraged to attend and participate.
