Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources reminds the public of the upcoming deadlines by the Division of Fish and Wildlife (DFW)for review of new applicants to the limited entry hook-and-line commercial fishing licenses program.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, however, to be considered for the upcoming fishing year (2024-2025), completed applications must be submitted to the Division no later than Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Any applications submitted after May 1st will be considered for the following fishing year.
Applications can be picked up from the DFW offices on St. Croix at Mars Hill and St. Thomas at Tropical Marina, or at the Division’s website here: https://dpnr.vi.gov/fish-and-wildlife/fisher-resources/commercial-fishing/
Completed applications should be submitted to the DFW office at Mars Hill on St. Croix and the DFW office at Tropical Marine on St. Thomas.
