DPNR HOSTS “MOVIE DAY AT THE LIBRARY”AT FLORENCE WILLIAMS PUBLIC LIBRARY

Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) announces that the Florence Williams Public Library will host a free “MOVIE DAY AT THE LIBRARY” on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The featured film, Monster House, is a spooky, family-friendly, animated adventure with a companion book available through the Virgin Islands public library system. The story follows three young friends who discover that the mysterious, rundown house in their neighborhood may be more than it appears. Determined to uncover the truth, they set out to confront the house and unlock its frightening secrets.

“Movie time is here at the Florence Williams Public Library!” said Amy DeSorbo, Director of Libraries, Archives, and Museums. “Families and readers of all ages are invited to join us for an afternoon of fun with Monster House. The companion book is available in paperback at the Florence Williams Public Library with a USVI public library system card, so we encourage patrons to read the story before the screening and then come enjoy the adventure on the big screen.”

The event is free and open to the public.
