Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning & Natural Resources (DPNR) announces that division of Coastal Zone Management (CZM) and their project consultants will hold a public meeting to share the findings of the Dorothea Watershed Plan.
“Since 2020, the Department has been investing heavily in watershed plans and design ideas that will improve stormwater management in the territory, including flooding, erosion, and water quality. We have completed eight Watershed Plans, and the Department kicked off the Dorothea Plan with a public meeting on April 19, 2023. Recognizing the high public interest in Hull Bay area, which is an important part of the Dorothea watershed, we invite the public to review and discuss the findings and recommendations for stormwater management improvements in the area,” said Commissioner Oriol.
The public meeting will be held on Thursday, September 7 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the DPNR Main conference room in the VIYA Building at the Tutu Park Mall. This meeting will also have a virtual option to participate, visit the project website for more information and the link to virtual registration at tinyurl.com/stormwaterUSVI.
